Summary
Description
Red pandas, Przewalski horses, Amur and clouded leopards, primates, birds, reptiles, and amphibians are all native to the animal conservation park located in the heart of Paris at the Ménagerie du Jardin des Plantes.
Experience endangered species up close (some of which you may not have even heard of!) and keep an eye out for special ‘meet the keepers’ events, aimed at increasing awareness of the dangers facing our planet's biodiversity.
Discover information on the conservation programs for at-risk species and explore the striking Ménagerie structures, constructed during the 19th century. Here, you can find the Bear Pit (1805), the Rotonde (1802-1812), the Reptile House (1870), and the Grand Aviary (1888).
This is both enlightening and old-fashioned, yet primarily enjoyable for families!
