Summary
Description
When you arrive in Versailles, you will meet your guide at the base of the Equestrian Statue of Louis the 14th, also known as the Sun King. You will enter the palace through a dedicated entrance and your guide will lead you through the Royal Apartments, where you will discover the history of the palace. Did you know that this magnificent palace was the residence of three of France's greatest Kings for more than a century?
After exploring the palace indoors and bidding farewell to your guide, you'll be able to extend your visit and fully utilize your passport ticket by enjoying some leisure time in the gardens. This 2,000-acre (809-hectare) park is adorned with fountains, statues, and traditional formal garden designs.
Should you desire further elaborate exploration, you have the option to rent a golf cart for an extensive tour of the estate grounds and gardens, or board the Little Train for a journey to the Trianons and a visit to The Queen's Hamlet! (Please note that these additional activities are not covered by the standard ticket fee and must be acquired on-site for a modest additional charge.)Palace of Versailles: Guided Tour with Priority Entrance + Gardens & Estate
