St Paul's offers a wealth of attractions for all visitors. The Altar Frontal for World War One was stitched by veterans of WWI during their rehabilitation. You can reach the Whispering Gallery after climbing 257 steps from the Cathedral floor, and it encircles the inside of the Dome. Its name is derived from a distinctive feature in its design that allows whispers against its walls to be heard on the other side. Inside the crypt, you can find the graves of Lord Horatio Nelson, the 1st Duke of Wellington, and Sir Christopher Wren.
For more than 1,400 years, a religious building has been present on this location despite numerous constructions and reconstructions (!) Following the Great Fire of London in 1666, Sir Christopher Wren was assigned to design a truly iconic structure that would endure through time. Since its completion in 1710, his unparalleled masterpiece has been overlooking the city.
